In 2016, our Anna Reynolds Elementary School was the recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Award for high performance , and every school in the district routinely outperforms the competing magnet school on standardized assessments. Now, every student in grades 3-12 has his or her own Chromebook that remains with them even in the summer.

5 years ago our school rolled out a BYOD (bring your own device) plan for our middle school. As part of this rollout we placed all these Chromebooks under a monitoring and filtering system that follows them wherever they may go. I don't think it would in the elementary setting. What is next?

I learned about the subscription service from my Best Apps for Teaching and Learning Committee buddy Mary Ann Scheuer , librarian at Emerson Elementary in Berkeley, CA.
