At the end of June a group of passionate, dedicated educators gathered for one of New Jersey’s last EdCamps of the 2017 school year. And let’s be honest: How many school districts are going to budget thousands of dollars to deck out one classroom when they already have perfectly good desks and chairs?

So, if you can imagine reading a book on Kindle, the finished product you can actually flip through like a book. Only the … the difference between just a regular book and Flipsnack is that you can actually make the book interactive. It is an interactive flipbook creator. The students or the teachers or whatever.

Next step for me is to decide how to move forward with the teachers that did not go through the process. Elementary Electives- One day when talking with our school president I said "wouldn't it be awesome if we could do electives with elementary students?" I've gotten involved with the organization of yearly Edcamp Gig City.

Kids have access to information; we must teach them how to navigate a world constantly evolving where content is at their fingertips. Students can practice fluency, produce book reviews, record a solo on their instrument, or reflect on assignments, to name a few possible podcasting activities. Podcasting.
