Sometimes it derives evidence of learning from anecdotal observation, watching students apply prior learning, working in groups, or participating in classroom discussions. Tools: Use an app like Blendspace, Socrative , Frolyc , Schoology , or ExitTicket. Team students up and give them study materials and prep time as a group.

How you group students, spend time with students, deliver content and create the learning environment is adaptive. I use programs such as i-ready , ST Math , Zearn Math , Blendspace by TES and EDpuzzle so that students are able to access content to build their conceptual, procedural and fluency understanding of various concepts.

The teacher, Lacey Chimienti, had created a small group activity where students were using Popplet – a mind mapping tool – to brainstorm words with the short-e sound (egg, elf, elk, etc.).
