What resulted was a great resource that I plan to share below on specific edtech tools that can assist special education (SPED), math, and reading teachers. Both the math and reading sessions focused on how edtech could be used during independent work, formative assessment, and pedagogically-sound blended learning.

Teachers can communicate effectively with both parents and students in multiple languages, assess students, and collect work.

The search features are easy to use for finding resources on the web, and with connections to Dropbox, Google Drive, Flickr, YouTube, Educreations, Gooru, adding your already created content to a canvas requires no artistic talent. I like the idea of using this as a formative assessment to check for understanding of the content.

As I have seen the boom in EdTech over the recent years in our district, I have really paid attention to the technology tools that are available to help our ELL students succeed. Comprehension/Assessment - Giving ELL students the option to record their voice to explain a concept and turn it in to their teacher is critical.
