#Flipclass Workflow

Baker's B.Y.O.D.

Edmodo, Curriculet, and Google Drive are essential to productive workflow in my class. Essentially, this is what I do: Organize students into classes on Edmodo with all resources, agendas, links to edtech tools, assignments, and quizzes are completed in Edmodo. Edmodo Edmodo is my online classroom space. Everything that I do face to face with students is also completed via Edmodo. All work is turned in via Edmodo Assignments.

I have a confession.

Baker's B.Y.O.D.

I''ve been teaching for 14 years and I can''t get students to improve their writing based on my assessment alone no matter how many times I try. I try and band-aid the situation telling the students (and myself) the process will be assessed on Marking Period A, while the final product will be part of Marking Period B''s grade (ok, in rare cases Marking Period C or D). The other part of the problem is in the assessment from the teacher and the effects (or lack of) of the assessment.

How You Can Take the Pain Out Of Data-Driven Classrooms

Edsurge

In Support of Formative Assessment As educators, we can use formative assessments to monitor progress while we still have time to reteach, fix misconceptions, and give more practice time. Formative assessments give us an idea of what our students are understanding during instruction, and can be embedded in the lesson activities. The additional beauty in formative assessments is that we can use the data without always having to assign a grade to it.

7 Shifts to Closing the Digital Divide

EdTechTeam

We agreed to do a book together, explore poetry, and have our students connect through the app Edmodo. Our high schoolers are creating collaborative charts in history classes, our middle schoolers are doing flipped learning in math which allows more time for group activities, and our elementary students are working on collaborative projects using Seesaw. Our students play Kahoot and Quizizz often for formative assessment.
