Edmodo is the hub of my virtual classroom, and the Quiz feature has been a time saver: from quick quizzes to final exams, Edmodo Quiz is my go-to assessment tool because all questions and quizzes are banked, the quiz feature has versatile security features, and feedback is delivered in a timely fashion to students.

I had the pleasure on Tuesday last week to give a webinar on how I use Edmodo to teach my students digital literacy skills and help prepare them for digital assessments. Not only are my students being assessed on reading and writing literacy skills, but they are also being evaluated on understanding how to navigate and use a website.

Despite criticism, a traditional well-written multiple choice assessment can be a valid assessment tool ( I''m bracing for rebuttals ). The techniques outlined below can be used for formative and summative assessments. Students are assessed on a range of skills: comprehension, application, identification, etc.

Every post in Edmodo has an unique URL. Grabbing the link to a post in Edmodo is a simple process as shown in the video below. Using this process of turning in a link to a post saves me time with assessing student participation and keeps the students writing. Why would you want to grab a link to a post?
