Due to Coronavirus, many schools are moving online, and teaching through Zoom meetings. The value of Zoom meetings is that the educator can create synchronous interactive conversations and activities. My goal is to have all my students actively engaged throughout the meeting. During our first meeting Julie explained to me what my responsibilities were as a mentor. Together, we mapped out what this learning experience would look like, when it would be offered, how it would be assessed, and methods to collect data. In the early fall we had a meeting with the 50 students who were enrolled in the Academies.

Second, pedagogically, it prevents teachers from being able to properly assess what students know and the depth of that understanding. First, in the societal realm, plagiarism is stealing. It is theft of someone’s idea; it is theft of someone’s words. It prevents true learning. It would be best if administrators were also included.
