The program had me update my login to the new standards and made it easy to add students under the new guidelines. Playing against another human (not robots) inspires students to try harder to prove they know their stuff. It certainly read like a robot had written in, IMHO. I especially disagreed with the section below because online tools should not be supplemental, but infused into the curriculum in a meaningful way to support teaching and learning. These tools can be used to create quizzes, polls, and surveys to assess student understanding.

If we go back to the War of 1812 lecture example, we can see the value of adaptive learning if we instead embrace these tech advancements. It almost goes without saying that school districts and policymakers will need to both collaborate with and seek input from educators to develop effective guidelines around student use.
