Revisiting Google Translate for Educators

This brief technology tip video models how to access Google Translate and use their variety of media tools including the following translations

Text:

Speak, type or copy and paste text for direct translations of your text in any language in the Google translate library.

Images:

You can either copy and paste or upload in image for text translation. This will translate any readable text that is available within the image and augment the image with the translated text.

Documents

Take any document (pdf, word, etc) and upload it into Google Translate (documents section). After a brief loading time your document will be translated and ready to download.

Websites

When copying and pasting a website address (URL) into Google Translate (website section) this will direct you to a translated version of the website. Note: in the past students used this to bypass content filter, however, has been addressed by Google recently.
