Things like kindness, empathy, tenacity and creativity can now be acknowledged, celebrated and captured using a digital badge! This would allow users worldwide, access to type in traditional Ojibway Syllabics. Fanny helped with a book chapter that I wrote on gamification. Fanny was always so inspiring and encouraging.

Digital badges do just that: they show when students have learned a skill or met a goal. For teachers, badges make classroom goals visible to students. The value of digital badges goes beyond the classroom, as well. Students use badges that they have earned to get scholarships, enter graduate school, and get jobs.
