So we set out to employ BYOD (bring your own devices) with augmented reality. I started by asking the students to download several apps including Merge Cubes’ Galactic Explorer and Google Expeditions.

The beauty of Socrative is it can be used via the web or via an app on iOS or Android, so even in a BYOD environment where you have a mixture of devices, as long as they can download an app or hit a website, all students in your class can participate. Formative assessment using "on the fly" questions is also possible.

This device needs to work with all platforms -- Windows, Mac, iOS, Chrome OS, Android, Linux DEB, and Linux RPM -- and be easy to use. This is a great feature for BYOD or 1:1 initiatives! Also, once you have Room Code on your Vivi , you can give open access for your students to share their screens.
