Students parents suffer as more campus child care centers close

Between 2003 and 2015, the number of campus child care centers declined precipitously, according to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research. In 2015, 44 percent of community colleges offered on-campus childcare, compared to 53 percent in 2003. More than half of student parents in that report experienced food insecurity.
