No mobile phones allowed

I read in the news about a teacher who asked her class:

“Tell me about an invention you don’t like.”

Here is one of her pupil’s answers:

  1. It’s really sad how things come down to the mobile phone for some strata of society. My school in UK banded parents on their phones in the playground, so at least they could greet their children properly at the end of the day.
    Technology is often seen as progress; in this case I’m not sure it is.

  2. It’s so nice that there are some kids think this way because you can see that they are aware in what is happening around them. But on the other hand, its saddening that they have to see this kind of things happening in our community.
