Introducing MIND’s Thought Leaders & Speakers

Since MIND Research Institute’s founding in 1998, one thing has been clear - we’re an organization with a lot of big ideas. Over the years, we’ve worked to share these ideas broadly. Our research, approach to STEM and other thought leadership can be found through our website, social media and blog. You may also have come across MIND colleagues presenting at events around the country, like TEDxOrangeCoast, the National ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) Conference, ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education), CAMT (Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching), and others.

In order to continue sharing our thoughts and ideas, we’ve launched a Thought Leaders & Speakers page. Here, you can get to know MIND’s current featured speakers and what they have to say around mathematics, neuroscience, education, research and learning.

The Anatomy of Our Speaker Page

The main speaker page features eleven of our colleagues, with more coming soon! You’ll see their photo, name, role at MIND, and a preview of their speaking topics. Click on a photo to view a speaker’s full profile.

Speaking Topics and More

When you first land on a profile page, you’ll see a brief introduction to the speaker and their speaking topics. Our colleagues come from many different backgrounds and areas of expertise, giving them a wide variety of subjects to speak on. Education community building, managing edtech usage, STEM innovation in schools, and the neuroscience behind math learning are just some of the topics they have to offer. And because our speakers also have a wide array of hobbies and passions, you can discover some extra engaging speaking topics we were able to include like board games in education and math and movement (dance), to name a few.

In this same section, you’ll find links to the speaker’s LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, a button that will quickly take you to the speaker’s full bio, and an option to print the speaker’s bio. You can also request more information about the speaker and their availability.

A little further down the page, you’ll be able to really dig into a speaker’s thought leadership and see examples of their work. This section highlights blog posts, podcasts, videos, and other content - all authored by or featuring the speaker.

Finally, you’ll reach the speaker’s full bio at the bottom of the page where you’ll be able to read up on their history and experience. There’ll also be another opportunity to request more information about the speaker and their availability here.

We’re excited to bring more of our thought leadership to you through our speakers page. We hope you’ll explore this new asset and get to know some of the MIND colleagues who are continuously sharing ideas and experiences on how to improve education for all students. Check it out, and consider a MIND speaker for your next event or conference.
