March 28, 2018 Webinar Shows Schools How to Use SEL and PBIS Programs Together

Charlotte N.C. (March 19, 2018) — Social-emotional learning (SEL) programs and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are both great approaches to support student learning. Many schools want to use both approaches together, but aren’t sure how to.

Social-emotional learning company Aperture Education and Kickboard, which provides technology and coaching for school culture initiatives, will host a webinar at 3 p.m. EDT March 28,2018 to discuss how to effectively integrate and connect the two approaches using measurement tools. These tools can serve as a bridge to connect multiple school culture initiatives and promote student success. The webinar, “The Perfect Marriage: Integrating PBIS and SEL Measures,” will:

  • Explore how PBIS and SEL are compatible and work together
  • Describe evidence-based measures for effective PBIS and SEL integration
  • Examine ways schools can act on culture data to ensure success

The webinar will feature:

Marc Kirsch, Director of Sales & Business Development, of Aperture Education. Kirsch has a diverse background in technology and consumer goods and comes from a family full of strong influential teachers. He has been involved in all aspects of the business and currently manages Aperture’s account team and partnerships.

The data can be used to support schools’ SEL programs, PBIS programs, and climate initiatives or to inform SEL instruction.
