Kendall Hunt Acquires Paradigm Education to Expand Health Career Offerings

Feb 10, 2020

Paradigm Education Solutions, a provider of online instructional materials for computing, digital literacy, and career development skills, has been acquired by academic publisher Kendall Hunt. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Paradigm will maintain its brand and continue to operate from its Minneapolis office.

According to the announcement, “this acquisition will allow Kendall Hunt to more effectively and efficiently serve the needs of both traditional and post-traditional students in the higher education market. The content and technology being acquired will enhance Kendall Hunt's current capabilities with the addition of programs such as health careers and certification courses.”

Founded in 1944, Kendall Hunt currently offers more than 8,000 print and digital titles for the K-12, Catholic faith-based and higher education markets.

As part of the transaction, Kendall Hunt now also owns JIST, a suite of career education resources. Both Paradigm Education and JIST were formerly owned by private equity firm CIP Capital, which combined the pair with Carnegie Learning in 2018.
