Over the last few years, I have collaborated with a number of people that I either have never met face to face or who live too far away to meet on a regular basis face to face. I moved from listservs to discussion boards to blogs and now to facebook. What I have noticed is an initial period in which I participate as a spectator (i.e. a member of the listserv receiving updates but not posting), then I move on as an active member.

An entire mini-economy has sprung up promising to provide friends, followers, and subscribers, for a nominal fee. However, to my knowledge, very little research has been done on how to get your current friends, followers, and subscribers, to unfriend, unfollow, and unsubscribe from you.

'Last night during #NTChat on Twitter, my good friend Mary Beth ( @mbteach ) was a guest moderator. The topic centered around helping new teachers figure out the best applications and programs to use. At one point there was some conversation about how overwhelming it can be with all these tools and ideas. Not to mention all the other issues first year teachers deal with when it comes to technology.

The game involves looking at specific landforms (e.g. the Red Sea) and determining the geographic process and timeline that caused them to form. Great informational videos are delivered by Dr. Bob Ballard to guide you in making your decisions. Search the globe for the green circles- those indicate landforms that are unlocked for you to tackle.
