“As the use of technology in the classroom grows, schools need tools to help teachers get the most out of their technology while keeping students safe as they are using devices in the classroom,” said Richard Fuller, CEO of Impero Software. “Impero Education Pro does both of these. Version 6.3 provides improved cloud functionality by offering a hybrid-cloud model designed to give our customers the best of both worlds depending on their preferences and requirements. We are honored to be recognized with a Best of Show Award.”

Impero Education Pro alerts instructors or administrators if it detects students typing or searching certain keywords or phrases related to sexting, cyberbullying, radicalization, self-harm and more. It also provides classroom management and anonymous reporting features, as well as tools to help schools and IT departments manage multiple devices.

New features of Impero Education Pro (v6.3) include:

· An intuitive ‘enterprise console’ using cloud technology to help technical teams quickly and easily apply settings to multiple servers. This new functionality is particularly beneficial for organizations that serve multiple school districts.

· A web-based teacher console, providing a simple interface designed with teachers in mind. This new functionality offers a range of classroom control features and the ability to monitor multiple devices from a single web browser.

· Automatically updated keyword libraries, if desired, giving schools instant access to the latest versions. Impero’s keyword library now includes over 20,000 keywords, abbreviations, phrases and URLs, developed with organizations, such as the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD), the Anti-Bullying Alliance, and SafeBAE and using the Internet Watch Foundation’s illegal content list.
