Scholarships Available for Educators to Attend Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference

Educators in New Hampshire or a neighboring state can apply for a scholarship to attend CMTC – the Christa McAuliffe Transforming, Teaching, & Technology – the week after Thanksgiving. Scholarships will be provided for as many as 54 educators. CMTC is named in memory of Christa McAuliffe, the New Hampshire teacher-astronaut who died in 1986 in the Challenge Space Shuttle.

Two different scholarships are offered. Pairs of educators can apply for a $350 scholarship, which covers registration, including lunch, for two people for one day at the conference, which runs Nov. 27-29 at the Doubletree by Hilton Manchester (NH) Downtown Hotel. Fifteen teams will be granted scholarships.

A district team scholarship will allow two teams to attend CMTC through the H. Charles Larracey Memorial Scholarship. Teams may have from 8 to 12 members from a school system, including a broad variety of roles--teachers, administrators, school board members, and others.

The deadline for application is Monday, Oct. 22. To apply, download the Scholarship Application from: http://www.nhcmtc.org/cms/registration/scholarship-opportunities
