PDF FlipBook on a Chromebook.

I have already written a post about working with PDFs on a Chromebook. I have also written about creating eBooks on Chromebooks. In this post, I discuss the various ways you can make ebooks, one of them is using Google Docs and saving the file as a PDF. If you are interested in learning more about this please read my previous post.

What I would like to focus on here is a great Chrome Application that enables you to read a PDF in a way that makes it behave like a flipbook. According to the makers of the app. PDF Flipbook Viewer or dFlip Reader has the power of modern 3D web technology which can be used to showcase your reports, portfolio, and brochures in a stunning flipbook effect. It is easy to create interactive, realistic & responsive FlipBooks with just a PDF. There is no need to convert your PDF to Images to create a PDF FlipBook. All you need is to click on “OPEN PDF” and open a PDF file.

Watch the video below to see it in action.

You can get this great viewer on the Chrome Web store. It is a great addition to your classroom Chromebooks or your student owned Chromebooks. This app could be used to view student-created ePortfolios during student-led conferences. It could also be used as a way to view student-created stories. It helps to turn an ordinary PDF into a fun to view book!
