CoSN 2018: K–12 Innovators Explore the New Age of Tech

Heading to DC for the conference? We’ve got you covered.

From March 12-15, thousands of innovative educators and IT stakeholders will gather in Washington, D.C. at the CoSN 2018 Annual Conference. With the theme of exponential change, thought leaders and presenters at the conference will focus on how to design learning for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

“We are living during a time of unprecedented and rapid change. New technologies like artificial intelligence, 3D printing and robotics are emerging with the potential for having a transformative impact on industry, the economy and society as a whole,” reports the conference’s website. “The CoSN 2018 Annual Conference will dive deeply into the issues as we seek answers to these questions and design learning in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”

How to Prepare Today’s Educators for the Future

During the 132 breakout sessions and three general sessions, thought leaders will discuss how this new age of technology will impact education.

For the opening general session on March 12, keynote speaker Tom Vander Ark, author of Getting Smart: How Digital Learning is Changing the World, will explore how best to design learning to fit this age of technology. The opening session will be moderated by Valerie Truesdale, CTO of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina, and will also include panelists from edtech companies such as Google.

The closing session on March 14 will feature Neil Pasricha, an author and happiness expert, who will discuss how best to adapt for exponential change.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to explore @InnovationCentral (the conference’s expo) and engage with some of the biggest vendors in the education technology sphere.
