edWeb.net and ClassLink Host Community to Help Educators with Technology in Schools

ClassLink logoedWeb.net is delighted to announce that ClassLink will be hosting Technology in Schools, a free professional learning community on edWeb. Through the community and edWebinars, ClassLink will provide district administrators, school leaders, and all educators with an online space to share ideas, examples, and resources that relate to integrating technology effectively in schools.

Almost every conversation about K-12 education involves technology in some aspect, from device management and password security to interoperability and digital resources. The students’ and teachers’ needs evolve just as quickly as the technology, though, and educators want to make sure they are successfully using the tools they have while understanding the benefits of the next iterations. Having a network of peers like the Technology in Schools community boosts educators’ confidence in asking questions and adopting digital resources.

“We are thrilled to be the sponsor of the Technology in Schools community,” said Jim McVety, VP of Strategic Partnerships for ClassLink. “With our edWeb community, we have an exciting opportunity to share our knowledge with educators and technology leaders and expand the conversations around the importance of access, analytics, and rostering, and the essentials for realizing the full potential of digital learning.”

Lisa Schmucki, founder and CEO of edWeb.net, commented, “ClassLink won the 2017 CODiE Award for Best K-12 Enterprise Solution, so we are delighted that they are bringing their knowledge and expertise to this online community to help educators use technology effectively and efficiently.”

ClassLink’s first edWebinar, “Simplify Digital Access in K-12: Learn How District Leaders Eliminate Barriers,” will take place Monday, May 14 at 3pm ET. With so many applications, devices, and distinct user requirements, the need for fast, equitable access to digital learning is a must-have for school districts. This edWebinar will explore the need for high-quality single sign-on (SSO) in K-12, discuss the importance of security and rostering in digital education, and provide useful tips for selecting the best solution. Educators are invited to register for the edWebinar on the event page.

The free edWebinars are a lively, real-time exchange of ideas with experts and colleagues. All edWebinars are recorded for on-demand viewing at any time. Educators earn a CE certificate for attending live or for taking a quiz after viewing the recording.

Educators are invited to join the free Technology in Schools community at www.edweb.net/technology.
