Metropolitan School District, itslearning Finalists for 2018 IMS Global Learning Impact Awards

Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township (MSD Wayne) and itslearning learning management system (LMS), are finalists in the IMS Global Consortium’s 2018 Learning Impact Awards program. Their entry in the Evolution to Next Generation Digital Learning Environments: Using LMS Interoperability to Power and Drive Student-Centered Learning, is advancing to the final round of competition, which will take place at the 2018 Learning Impact Leadership Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, 21-24 May.

[New tools for school]

An expert panel of judges will use eight criteria for determining the learning impact of entries among the 26 finalist projects. In addition to the panel, the broader edtech community is invited to review and vote on the final projects. Public voting closes at noon EDTon Wednesday, May 23.

In its submission to the awards program, MSD Wayne Township and itslearning highlighted four key gains or “returns on technology investment,” including Anytime, Anywhere Access; Expanded Access to Resources; Safe, Collaborative Learning Spaces; and Individual Learning Paths.

Medal winners will be announced during the Learning Impact Leadership Institute awards luncheon on May 24.
