Become an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2017!

Have you thought about applying for the Apple Distinguished Educator program? Applications are now open for the 2017 class. Known as ADEs, Apple Distinguished Educators are a group of educators from around the world. They also use Apple tools in a variety of learning environments in innovative and exciting ways.

Become an Apple Distinguished Educator

Certainly one of the most significant moments of my professional career was the day I was accepted into the Apple Distinguished Educator program. For as exciting as it was to receive a congratulations email I couldn’t have anticipated just how much this program would shape my life. The friendships I’ve made from the ADE program have helped make it possible to travel the world. It’s been exciting to share my favorite ways to use technology to energize and elevate classroom instruction.

Last year I shared a few posts on the Apple Teacher program which is open to everyone and lets you start right away. This badging program is a fantastic way to explore and master Apple tools like Pages, Keynote and Garageband. Whether you are interested in applying for the ADE program or not, I highly recommend exploring the Apple Teacher program. It’s a great tool for school-based professional development. Individual teachers looking to strengthen the way they use technology in the classroom will also love it!
